Drilling underway on Maronan silver-lead project, NW QueenslandA deep angled drill hole has begun on the Maronan project testing a strong off-hole conductivity anomaly detected about 800 metres below surface by down-hole geophysical surveying of previous drilling. The conductive target correlates with the anticipated depth extension of recent high-grade silver and lead intersections which have a similar mineralisation style and grade to the nearby Cannington deposit, the world’s largest silver and lead producing operation (refer Red Metal ASX announcement on 6 March 2012). This program is expected to take about one month to complete with assay results expected by September 2012. Download this announcement (505kb) |
