|Drilling initiated on hole MRN13002, Maronan Project, NW Queensland|
A drill test on the promising northern hinge zone copper and gold target at the Maronan prospect has been initiated.
The current drill hole, MRN13002, is situated about 200 metres north of strong copper and gold results intersected in the last hole MRN13001. Here a wide interval of iron and copper sulphide veining returned 115 metres averaging 0.8% copper and 0.5 g/t gold including 13 metres at 1.6% copper and 1.0 g/t gold and 9 metres at 2.1% copper and 1.4g/t gold.
Drilling aims to test the potential for wide zones of these higher grades focused at the northern hinge zone. It is expected to take four weeks to complete the drill hole.
